Datt Chimica is a company that has been working since 1980 in the fine chemical. In the beginning the textile industry was the main market and Datt developed innovative products that still today are used in the principal italian, european and middle eastern industries.
A particular interest was given to research in natural thickeners for textile printing.
Research and development that have brought Datt Chimica to be known as a “market leader” in the field.

In the 90’s, in collaboration with IWS (International Wool Secretariat) and WRONZ (Wool of New Zeland Research) an environmental friendly moth proofing agent was developed . The product is normally used by the most important names among the italian fashion wool manufacturers and by the main world wide carpet producers.
The experience gained in the biocide/antimould field brought the company to a close co-operation with Textron Tecnica S.l., a spanish leader in biocides research.
Working with the wood tecnology laboratory, biology faculty, of one of the european’s most important universities, a product for the treatment of wood preservation has been developed. The eco-compatibility, and the respects of the new european regulations are among the main goals of this project.
The wide knowledge of natural industrial thickeners has consequently been used also in food-grade market.
Recently Datt Chimica has entered into the market of canned pet foods.
